Finding Shaman Pre-Naxx Gear

I started doing some research on what gear is best for enhancement shaman. I found that there are plenty of pre-made lists out there for up-and-coming raiding shaman, but what I want to show is how to find the gear. To show you what to look for and how to look for it. One of my favorite quotes is: "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime." That’s what I set out to do with this post. Teach an enhancement shaman (or any other shaman) how to fish for good gear.

Windfury, Flametongue, and Weapon Speeds

There’s been a lot of discussion going around as to what weapon enchants and weapon speeds will maximize DPS for an enhancement shaman in Wrath of the Lich King. Should they be using Windfury Weapon on both weapons? What about a fast off-hand weapon with Flametongue? So many questions, so little time.

Handy Shaman Macros

Macros are a handy way of adding a little extra logic to a spell or ability. They’re also a good way to save some space on your casting bars by combining buffs or spells that you use occasionally or out of combat. Most of these macros come from my shaman and are in use every time I play.

Shaman’s 5-Point Arena Checklist

The first few seconds of an arena match usually make it or break it for your team. Before entering a rated match for the evening I usually go through this checklist so I know what I’m going to do when the doors open. Its a general order of operations for damage-dealing shaman that helps the team survive and turn the odds in their favor. It doesn’t always apply in every situation, but its a good start. Feel free to tweak it to your liking and offer comments below!
