Starting the epidemic -- again

On IRC today in the Addon Developer room, we began discussing the GM item Martin Thunder. Someone had not seen it linked before and was wondering how it happened. I told them that recently GMs have been appearing with it and that, by Monday (right before server restart), it was linkable on most servers.

Now, as a preface, I have an "Addon Development" character as I like to call it from which I do most of my development. This character is in an EXTREMELY large guild (maximum capacity reached on the guild panel) because I often need alot of people to test things.

Now, back to the story.

Because I was already on my Addon Dev character, I decided to test what I had said by linking the Martin Thunder. Sure enough, it worked. I decided to have some fun at the expense of the newer players in that character's guild. I told them I had just found the item off of a rat in Stormwind.

I had no idea what I had done.

First, one of the people I had decided to have fun with asked what it was in trade chat.

Then another.

Then someone from Trade began linking it in yells.

Within an hour, every other chat message posted in Trade contained the item link.

Drop rates suck

So I've been spending the past who knows how long trying to farm for my Badge of Tenacity. Damn its a pain. The drop rate is absolutely horrid. I've already gotten around 400 Apexis Shards and to honored with Ogri'la and the Skyguard. Luckly, I've been farming the guys that drop the Ethereum guys that drop the , so I've been getting a bunch of greens along the way.

Still no depleted items, still no epics, still not even any blues.

This is going to take a while.

So I've been spending the past who knows how long trying to farm for my Badge of Tenacity. Damn its a pain. The drop rate is absolutely horrid. I've already gotten around 400 Apexis Shard and to honored with Ogri'la and the Skyguard. Luckly, I've been farming the guys that drop the Ethereum guys that drop the Ethereum Prison Key, so I've been getting a bunch of greens along the way.

Still no depleted items, still no epics, still not even any blues.

This is going to take a while.

Update: now revered and over 1.5k shards. I may end up getting a nether ray before I get my badge -_-
