It will allow you to embed (in Curse Wiki posts or on your own websites) a small widget giving you information about your project including the latest version and the number of downloads.

You will be able to grab the widget by clicking the share button on the left of a project's details page.

I'd like to let you know that we've finally ironed out what we think are the last issues :)

That being said, I'd like to present to you the new authentication system, and the new download pages.

The authentication system was revamped over the last few weeks in order to allow us to share accounts over several "network" websites. We have an upcoming WoW database site for example, which will allow you to login using your Curse.com account and password.

We have also revamped a few of the pieces of the download section:

You will see brand new details and version download pages with a much enhanced look bringing them closer in line with the rest of the new design.

We have improved the "lightbox"-esque effects when viewing screenshots and similar tasks.

There is now code to share a file tooltip (via JavaScript) on an external website by clicking the "share" button on a files detail page.

We have enhanced the tooltip mechanism to be much more robust and have removed the on-demand (ajax) tooltips.

The RSS feeds have been cleaned up and you can now view access them for only a specific site (such as World of Warcraft)

All of the pages which list the top 100 X have been cleaned up. Examples are the New Downloads, Top Rated Downloads, etc.

We have added a new "Recommended Downloads" feature. This will show you what other users also liked based on their usage of files.

We have added the "Other X" box which will show you other popular files within the category of the file.

There is now a button to "install via curse client" right on the files detail page.

The list of downloads is now powered by our javascript library and will make it so there is much less scrolling, but still easy to see all versions of a file.

Ticket System

About a month ago we implemented project tickets to allow users to submit bug reports and feature requests for select projects on the website. We've seen it used on numbers of files, such as Bongos2 and Atlas, and it seems to work pretty well.

We'd like to take this opportunity to ask for feedback, from the authors and users. Whether you have criticism about how the system works, you want to give praise on something you like, or you think a certain thing should be changed, we want to hear about it.

We are considering several things such as allowing tickets to be "private" (only ticket author and project owners would be able to view them) and sending messages to users when tickets are updated.

The download section now has an incredibly powerful and reliable search back-end, as well as a full suite of Advanced search functionality, including the ability to search for multiple tags.

If you've used Google to find your AddOns here on Curse in the past, then we highly suggest you give this new search functionality a try. Head over to http://downloads.curse.com to check it out firsthand, and please do provide feedback on the changes in our Feedback & Suggestions thread devoted to the Download section.

Additionally, we've updated our Firefox and Internet Explorer search plug-in to include auto-complete and search "suggestions" by typing in a partial word. You can give it a try by visiting http://downloads.curse.com and clicking on the "Install Search Plug-in" link.

We're continually improving Curse to ensure that you have the best experience possible, so if you have any feedback or suggestions regarding these two new changes, don't hesitate to let us know!

- The Curse.com Team

You will notice quite a few different elements on the pages, as well as a more colorful experience.

The downloads section have also received a few small browsing feature upgrades. You can now filter (see the left menu) through all of the downloads to find exactly what you're looking for. There is also now a box displaying whats popular today, and for the month, when you're viewing subcategories.

We have also fixed all URLs for RSS feeds (to remove redirects) as well as adding quite a few of the icons back in.
