Diablofans.com has, sadly!, found out
that there will be no WWI this year from Blizzard. There is, however, some
silver-lining to this cloud as perhaps even MORE resources will be poured into
BlizzCon 2009 and we'll still get our fill of whatever exciting stuff Blizzard
has planned.

As first reported
here by one of our own users, there is not going to be a World
Wide Invitational 2009. However, it seems that we will still have the
privilege of a nice, big BlizzCon 2009, as per the following quote from
