We've received a press release from the folks at NCSoft his morning about Aion!

Aion has been officially released today by NCSoft on this historic day! In Aion, gamers explore a celestial world of breath-taking beauty and epic adventure. Players create either winged Elyos or Asmodian avatars, sworn enemy races that discover a common foe: the twisted and depraved Balaur. Aion is among the biggest MMO games in the East and has wowed millions of gamers with its breathtaking graphics, innovative gameplay and engrossing story.

Unlike any MMO before it, Aion is a uniquely crafted online experience where flight offers much more than just a way to explore the landscape – it is a strategic and integral part of combat, quests, and exploration. Players will dive into battle and plunge through thousands of unique, story-driven quests, all while trying to save a world literally shattered in half from centuries of brutal conflict.     @simlol12: I doubt you'd see addons any time soon, if at all as to me that seems like something you engineer in from the getgo or just avoid altogether.

    As to your Priest confusions - if you want to be a primary healer, play a cleric.  If you want to buff/debuff and fight in melee, with limited backup healing, then roll a chanter. (from what I've read and time in beta, not currently playing).  Also, if you head on over to AionSource, there are numerous threads I found discussing this that may help you decide.

    am prolly going to roll a priest but am confused cleric or chanter both i like , chanter looks like disc priest , but don know am rly confused xD , i hope it will be way better than wow more than what it is atm , and no hackers in it as botting way etc , and hope they make addons for it ADDONS ARE VITAL !

    @Quell111: Ensure that your game is from the same country as you are currently playing it in. IE: If you are, say, across seas, you cannot play a US version. They constantly scan IPs to make sure that the game client and the country it is being played in match up, and if they do not, it's a permanent ban, no questions asked. This is a major problem for military and travelers obviously, and I'm not quite sure why they do it, but ensure that that's not your problem. If it isn't, wait for customer service. I had a problem and talked to them and had it sorted out in no time, it sounds like you're just having some bad luck at the moment with getting in touch with them.

    nice game  played for two days before i got banned. Dunno what I got banned for though still waiting to find out. Havnt talked ot anyone just quested and leveled a couple toons to level 10 checking it out. Extremely poor customer service only take calls from 12 central to 5 central and emails next business day to say the least its very frustrating. I just want my money back at this point.

    Hey :) Any good Guilds formed yet? would be interested in a heads up, experienced wow player previously, so know my stuff. Gonna give this a decent shot, see how it plays out, looks ok at mo, fresh format etc, but yes we need Addons :(

    @djcornbread: Aion launch was not worse than Wow Launch...

    WoW had the following issue: account creation site partialy down  for the first 4 days, inzane queue on most server for the first few days, inzane lag everywhere, etc.

    Blizzard even credited us 4 free days.  If you want real example of failed launch, look at SWG (mostly down for the first week), or other with similar result...

    just set up an account for friend 2 days ago. done in 10 minutes. only took 2 hours to download the big file to his computer. hitting 1.3 mbps. thought it was really fast. hundreds of people are downloading it. i think the launch has been awesome. lvl 22 myself and no probs at all. love it!!!

    this game's launch has to be one of the worst for any game. it took me 2 hours just go get an account set up with a payment plan, and now i'm stuck in an account creation queue before i'll ever be able to play.

    Game is very nice for it's kind. MMORPG is a serious buisness, with all the sound, attacks, moves, colors, video Etc. Very good game and is the same as World of Warcraft. Still diffrence is this is newer=better. But it cost money to play just like Wow.

    If i dind't cost money to play maybe 4x would buy it..

    got an Ely Priest and scout and an Asmo Assassin. Will roll fighter or mage later but not sure if I'll go Glad or Temp.

    I would play...If it were available on Mac. Until then I'm going to play WoW until Cataclysm comes out, and then I will play on a lame game like SpaceShift with the other 3 people who are anti-Cataclysm.
