The Blondes like pets and will go out of their way to get the cutest pets. This year, just like last year, the guild is running all guildies and friends throught the Orphan week quests. Turtles, Rats, Pigs and baby Elekks. But no puppies.
The only puppy pet I have seen so far is from a quest in Lower Black Rock Spire. Seemed to be an easy quest, run in to LBRS, click on a puppy and poof you have pet carrier with a dog. Well, it seeme to be that easy.
First, you get the quest from a Goblin in Burning steppes. They have a shoppe in a cave in the Centeral North. Your first clue that this won't be an easy quest is that the little green Goblin is saying it should be easy. He hands you a cage and tell you everything will be easy, trust me.
Your second clue that this will be a rough quest is trying to find 4 other toons to follow you into LBRS. With the Portal to Outland open not many toons want to venture into the old places. LBRS is done at 55-60 and is filled with 58 elites. So we needed to very paitent and take anyone we could get to go along. The instance is setup so you really need 5 to go in with. The number of hits you take is alarming. You need bodies to just aborb hits so the casters can work their magic.
So we built our party, 1 priest, 2 rouges, a warrior and a lame Elf Druid.One of rougues was SummerLove a Blonde Inc. guilidie. Summerlove holds no truck with lazy toons. If she could dismember them she would.
We enter the instance and the Druid has to go AFK for bit so he latches onto my, the priest, with follow. Ok, fist fight done, now second fight, under stairs cleared, far side of stairs cleared. The Druid is still on follow. Wake up I shout at the druid. He heals a group member. A few more fights and the Druid is still on follow. Occasionaly he drop some trees to help. By now the group is unhappy. Summerlove's hair is curlying from the steam heat coming off her body. "Boot him" they cry. Summerlove threatens to knive me if I dont do something about her hair fast.
Out goes the Druid. "Why?" he asks. "did you boot me?"
My problem now is to get Summerlove cooled down. She has gone into kill mode. Everything is being slashed and burned. Spiders, Troll, and Ogres are falling like leaves in Autumn. The Party is having trouble keeping up. She nearly knifes Bijou when Bijou ask her to find some stuff she left behind.
The spiders never stood a chance. Eggs were flying everywhere. SummerLove tore past me back towards some Worgs. Oh, no! I need those worgs. I need to capture one for a pet.
Too late, six dead puppies lay at Summerloves feet. She had skinned 3 by the time I caught up to her.
Oh well. Anyone up for a run at LBRS? I hear you can get a puppy there.
