Surprises?

Am I really that out of touch?
I thought I usually kept myself rather informed on what was usually going around in the world (of warcraft).

Let me explain...
I was chatting over vent with a buddy of mine while I browsed the forums; suddenly, bananas, thousands of them... actually, I came across a post talking about a certain rogue named Neilyo, mostly praising him and calling him one of the best rogues in the world, blah blah blah.
My first reaction was to make an offhand comment in vent about how there's a pretty famous rogue with the same name as our Neilyo back on Dark Iron. To my surprise, the person on the other end of the conversation responds with a "That IS our Neilyo. Where have you been?".

All this time, I thought he had just quit. Meanwhile, he's over in BG9 making a name for himself, and doing it pretty damn well. This all came to a surprise simply because of the familiarity I had with guy, we BGed together, along with countless dueling. He was the guy always outside Org eager to duel (and usually pummel into the ground) anyone who would take up the challenge. He was a Dark Iron staple, and now he's moved on to greener pastures along with Pronne (one of the most fantastic druids I've ever run across).

To them, I offer my most sincere wishes of good luck and great success!

On a side note... the "Wtf moment" of my day: Lightning Capacitor Nerf.
