Guild Recruitment Tool Open Beta
I'm very excited to finally reveal a project we've been working on for a while now. It's something that started as a simple idea to make guild recruitment easier and evolved into something much more than that. With that in mind I'd like to invite everyone to try out the Open Beta of the brand new World of Raids Guild Recruitment Tool. Please be sure to use the Guild Recruitment Tool Feedback thread to report issues you come across and any feedback you have on the tool.
We have very big plans for this tool in the future, which we're working on now, so expect more features beyond what you see here today.
Creating and Finding Guilds
To create a guild, make sure you're logged in to World of Raids and head to http://www.worldofraids.com/recruitment/management/guild/create.html to start the creation process. It's extremely simple and should be fairly self-explanitory, but one of the goals with Open Beta is to polish this up as much as possible, so please leave feedback on the creation process.
If you're a player and would like to find a guild, you can begin searching by heading to http://www.worldofraids.com/recruitment/guild.html. Be sure to take advantage of the search filters to find a guild that fits your schedule and class you play.
Advantages
- Exposure – Get the exposure you need thanks to a community of hundreds of thousands of World of Warcraft players, all focused on raiding.
- Recruitment Experience – The tool was developed by seasoned World of Warcraft veterans who have experienced the pains of recruiting players. We invested our knowledge into ensuring the tool smooths out the process as much as possible.
- Real-time Editing – If you've used other tools or forums, you know that you have to save your edits, reload the page, etc. Not the case here! Your edits are saved real-time and will appear immediately for users visiting your page; there's no special administration page you need to visit. What you see as you edit is what users will see.
- Relevance Matters – Under the hood the tool takes advantage of complex algorithms to match players accurately with guilds based on raid times, class spec(s), progression rank and more.
- No Unnecessary Drop-downs – We've cut out drop-down menus on both the search filters and creation process in favor of activated buttons or auto-complete text fields to speed up the process of getting what you want out of the tool.
- Fast Guild Creation – We've streamlined the creation process to automate as much as possible, only requiring a handful of details from you. You won't find a multi-page process with steps numbering in the teens here.
- Genuine Guarantee – We've developed an easy-to-use WoWGenuine tool to go along with Guild Recruitment that ensures your guild is genuine and adds that extra measure of security in the event your guild has been taken maliciously by another user.

FAQ
What is WoWGenuine used for?
WoWGenuine is designed as an automated means of claiming your guild should someone else create it before you can.
What are Past Accomplishments?
Past Accomplishments are custom achievements we've created to recognize content milestones. Any time a raid instance is released, we'll analyze the most challenging achievements and then reward guilds with badges for completing them when the content is still relevant. Once the next raid instance opens up, typically these accomplishments will no longer be achievable.
Why are you still displaying Ulduar progression?
Many guilds are still completing Ulduar, and as such we'll be displaying Ulduar under Progression until patch 3.3 releases. At that point it will be removed and Icecrown Citadel added. It's important to note that while Ulduar is still displayed under Progression, it's no longer possible to achieve any of the Past Accomplishments related to the instance.
Why is my progression not up-to-date?
Currently you must manually update your progression by clicking the "Update" link in edit mode. We'll be working on an automatic update system before the tool leaves Open Beta.
What's the purpose of the World Rank slider?
At the moment the slider modifies search relevance to help you find guilds around that particular world rank. It's not a hard "yes" or "no," filter but should make it easier to locate guilds around your desired progression level that also match other filter criteria.
My guild has multiple recruitment officers. Can I add them so they can edit our page?
Not right now, but this will be coming before the end of Open Beta.
Will the Guild Recruitment forums be going away?
For now we're going to leave them up. Once Open Beta is over the forums will be closed.
If only this was around for Dirti...
The best thing about this tool is... you can finally leave Ironforge!
